My Passion

"Let the picture do the talking" is one of the philosophy i uphold. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. therefore, art is indeed a never-ending debate. Nevertheless, let the picture tell the story is the essence of photography. while some photographers strives to focus primarily on creative arts and aesthetics in their work, i believe in the end, the picture has got to deliver the message. The 'FEEL' many would describe it best.

Nevertheless, i try my best in knowing my subjects before the snapping takes place. There may be many photographers who snaps the same subject. But in one way or another, details is the crucial underlying factor that would give the picture the "WOW' factor...

Thats is why i always agree with my Alma Mater motto - Ancora Imparo (I'm still learning)

My Work

Fashion comes and goes... But Style stays forever - Yves St. Laurent

It's the style of a person that reflects in ones work. This gives the masterpiece the identity. A photographer's work can be truly amazing as it rally encompasses almost evryting in the universe.

Judy and Wina at Tanjung Lobang

Dear all,

Sorry for the late post. i have been quite busy with some shooting.. and i promise you all i will be posting some more in the weeks to come.. apart from that i intent to start a personal web-page on this website to post some of the ‘informal’ shots i have taken… probably like my birthdays, or some events that might attract your interest… Anyways, Here are some shots i have done in January with the models from Angels in Angels… I hope u like them…

Ain’t she a natural poser? when i say ‘Aaaaccctttiooon’ she just poses without hesitation… any company would be lucky to have her as model… she has got the talent!

I personally like this one..

This one was taken without Edwina knowing it.. i like the natural sense…

In Chinese we call this capital… “ben qian” (本钱) she’s really got the factor… I am glad i am able to work with these 2 great models… Thanks to Brother Peter Yong for introducing me to them~

The day ended with a beautiful sunset and the color was splendid~

Well, thats all for now.. stay tuned for more updates… thanks for being patient.. :)

Angels in angles

Date: 21 December 2009

Venue: Eastwood Valley and Taman Awam Miri

Model: Edwina Yong and Judy Yong

I had a privilege of taking pictures of 2 pretty ladies on 21st December under arrangement of Uncle Peter Yong. The 2 ladies both were very keen and great with co-operating us photographers. We started off early to avoid letting our models melt under the hot sun. Thank God it didn’t rain that day. We started off by ‘warming up’ – literally letting our flash flash at them for a few moment before really setting in the mood, the angle and so on. Edwina was really good at posing. I personally think its her instinct to pose. She is really great to work with.

Judy too was great to work with. She is the angelic and cute style. Her smile kills… :P hahaha… Her smiles are so sweet that i think u might get diabetic after that. Anyways, without further ado, lets show some pics…

That’s it for now… will do some

Model Photo shoot session

Date : 18 October 2009 (sunday)

Venue : Berjaya Times Square Hotel

Well, it is crucial that a photographer sharpens his/her skill from time to time. As mentioned in my biography, i uphold my Alma mater founder’s motto, “Ancora Imparo” the spirit that persist in continuance learning. Last month, Canon Pro EOS Centre organized a model photoshoot session for photographers from all walks of life to gather and learn about studio photoshoot and hands on session for portrait.

The event kicked off with some sharing session by a seasoned photographer, Ken Wong. He shared much on studio lighting, his style, the reason why he chose some of the lightings, his equipment, suitable lenses for portraits and such. After a sumptuous lunch at the Big Apple Restaurant, we then move out to the Berjaya Times Square Hotel poolside for outdoor photography. The day was a bit overcast. And it was a very hot day. However, was quite exciting with the hot and sexilicious models. The day ended with some critics and comments about the shots taken from the day from the participants.

It was a knowledgeable day, and i gained much insights about portraiture. Here are some photos that i have taken, pls enjoy. Though not all are perfect, but i have learned through the mistakes. As i quote Joe mcNally, the photography Guru, “One thing about photographers are that they have to learn to make mistakes, and learn through them”

Enjoy the Photos…

Along the photoshoot, were some interesting happenings… Such as some photographer going into the frame… and some Photography Gurus who were there shooting with us…

Chris and Cass (part 2)

Date: 25 October 2009 (Sunday)

Venue: Taman Tun and Imperial Garden, Intan Square

As promised, i would post up the second installment of the pictures taken from Chris and Cassandra’s wedding. This was taken the next day after the romantic and rich of tradition ceremony at St. Ignatius Church. Early in the morning, as me and Cedric, arrived at Cassandra’s house, she was already up and doing make-up. @.@ The whole house was starting to get busy to get prepared for gate crashing by the groom when he arrives.

The aunts, were really cheerful, as they were really ushering in all the joy in the house with their laughter and jokes. By 9AM, Cassandra as all ready and she was ushered into a different room on the ground floor (Usually, brides would hide in their own room or their parent’s room on the top floor of the house). So, as the groom arrived, together with the bunch of ‘heng tais’ (Brothers) rushed up towards the top floor. There, the bride’s uncle was prepared to play a trick on the groom and his ‘heng tais’. They were asked to do some push-ups and drink some beer!

After much relentless trick from the uncle and the cousins, the bride’s father came up and gave the Groom a tip off (Infernal affairs :P ) Immediately the havoc began… The uncle gang and the Groom gang raced to the Real room that hides the bride. Lucky thing, the “Ji Mui (Bridemaids/ sisters)” were not stupid. They were ready! And the the bride’s uncles reinforcement came in time.

Despite all the tricks and fun, the groom finally took out his ‘Secret weapon’ – The Angpaos! Hah! All was bribed away.. Hahaha… The Groom then finally got the Bride. The day then went on with the key element in Chinese Wedding, where Tea ceremony began and after the tea ceremony, was the group photo and then the Groom then usher his newly wed partner to his home.

At the other side, the groom family awaits for the Tea ceremony. It was all quickly done as all were hungry by the time the ceremony ended. All the guest, relatives and friends were then ushered to Imperial Garden Restaurant, Teluk Intan Square, PJ (Located next to Armada Hotel).

There, the couple had their banquet cum luncheon. It was all well organized and it was a beautiful day for the couple. Enough of story telling… Here are the pictures…

That’s all for now.. hope you enjoyed it as much as i snapping it.. :)
